Miss health officials: 3rd West Nile virus case of 2015

JACKSON — The Mississippi State Department of Health says a Simpson County resident has the state’s third confirmed case of West Nile virus this year. Laboratories previously confirmed cases in Adams and Hinds counties. Last year, 43 people in Mississippi came down with the virus, and seven of them died.
