MDA to close all its regional offices

The Mississippi Development Authority will close all eight regional offices around the state effective June 30. Eleven positions will be eliminated, 10 of which are currently filled, said Jeff Rent, public relations and media manager for the agency. SUMMIT — Summit has joined the list of Mississippi municipalities banning weapons in government buildings.
