Heartland Media, MSouth Equity buying Tupelo TV station

TUPELO — Heartland Media, LLC and MSouth Equity Partners have agreed to acquire the assets of television station WTVA, the NBC and ABC affiliate in Tupelo, from WTVA Inc. Terms were not disclosed. JACKSON — Block Communications Inc. has acquired MetroCast Mississippi, a rural cable system that provides cable television, telephone and Internet services to more than 45,000 residential and business customers in 16 Mississippi counties.
