Tornado-torn town to dedicate new government facility

SMITHVILLE — The town of Smithville is dedicating its new government complex, the last municipal building to be rebuilt after a 2011 deadly tornado. Tornado-torn town gets more recovery funding

SMITHVILLE — The town of Smithville has received $1.3 million to help with its ongoing recovery from a 2011 tornado. Gov. Phil Bryant presented Monroe County with a check last Friday.
