Mississippi River bridge to be named for towboat pioneer

GREENVILLE — The U.S. Highway 82 bridge over the Mississippi River at Greenville will be named for towboat industry pioneer Jesse Brent. New $3M asphalt plant to be built in Leflore Co.

GREENWOOD — Leflore County supervisors have agreed to sell 15 acres at a local industrial for a new asphalt plant that will bring up to 20 new jobs.
