TUPELO – Jack Reed Jr. starts each day by greeting employees as he walks briskly through Reed`s Department Store in downtown Tupelo. He checks displays, signage and merchandise, makes sure coffee is hot and that fresh cheese straws are on platters. As customers walk in from the street, Reed greets them by their first names and offers a dose of southern hospitality.
