Int’l logistic solutions on trade club’s agenda

For both importers and exporters, freight cost can sometimes equal or surpass the net value of the merchandise ordered.

Cutting freight cost will be addressed Jan. 14 when the Mississippi International Trade Club hosts its monthly meeting at Dennery`s Restaurant at noon in Jackson. Bobby Joe Jones and Loretta Knight with Star Asia, an international transport and logistics firm in Atlanta, will be the guests. Star Asia offers the small importer/exporter a service and price comparable to the larger and more economic full container load importer/exporter.

Any company engaged in or considering international trade as a way to increase profits is encouraged to attend this meeting.

For more information on this program or any activity of the club please contact Bill Scaggs at (601) 359-6672 or Marguerite Wall at (601) 857-3536.

We do it because it is important to us … and equally important to you, if you value the flow of trustworthy news and information which have always kept America strong and free for more than 200 years.

If those who read our content will help fund it, we can continue to bring you the very best in news and information. Please consider joining us as a valued member, or if you prefer, make a one-time contribution.
