BILOXI — The 11th-annual Gulf Coast Business & Industry Expo is scheduled for March 28-29 at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. This year’s show will feature a finance symposium, put on in a cooperative effort between the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, the Harrison County Development Commission and the Mississippi Department of Economic and Community Development, and conducted and sponsored by Fortune.
The event’s organizers are expecting more than 100 exhibition booths. A sampling of exhibitors are Warren Paving, Cellular South, Star Ship Cruise Line, Lockheed-Martin, NASA, the Mississippi Business Journal, Howard Computers and Hancock Bank.
“Through their presence, they are not only assisting themselves but the entire business community,” said Dave Dennis, current president of the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. “Exhibitors are providing the largest business showroom in this area. Collectively, they create an attractive and informative one-stop shopping mall.”
The expo will kickoff at noon on March 28. The finance symposium will be held the following morning at 10 a.m., and will conclude with the annual “Salute to Business and Industry” awards program, when winners in various categories are honored not only for their financial success, but also for efforts in employee development and satisfaction and community activism.
