Bill Bynum has been named a finalist for the John P. McNulty prize.  The McNulty prize is an annual $100,000 award, which celebrates extraordinary young leaders making creative, effective and lasting contributions to their communities. Bynum’s work with the Hope Community Credit Union has made an impact in the Delta region, helping thousands of individuals acquire the resources needed to rebuild their lives and homes after Hurricane Katrina.

Bynum is the chief executive officer of the Enterprise Corporation of the Delta, one of the nation’s leading community development banks. Based in Jackson, ECD stimulates economic prosperity in the Delta regions of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi by providing financing and technical assistance for business development, homeownership and community development.
