LOUISVILLE — Angie Tidwell, former bookkeeper for the Winston County Tax Collector’s Office, has pled guilty to two counts of embezzlement by a public employee, according to State Auditor Stacey Pickering.
Pickering also issued Tidwell a $260,228.54 demand for funds embezzled from garbage fees and motor vehicle taxes from the Winston County Tax Collector’s Office from October 2003-March 2007.
Tidwell was sentenced to serve four years in prison and will serve 36 years of probation. She was also ordered to pay $188,200 in restitution.
