Chris Cherney, chief executive office of Mississippi Children’s Home Services, received an award from the agency for 30 years of service and dedication to improving the lives of Mississippi children, youth and families. He has 40-plus years experience in the social service field.

“Chris has been an advocate for Mississippi children and youth for over 40 years,” said John Damon, Ph.D., chief operating officer for the agency. “He has accomplished many goals for the only non-profit organization and only Mississippi-based corporation providing behavioral health and social health services with our unique continuum of care to children and youth over time. He has set the agency at the forefront for providing premier mental health services over 10,000 Mississippi youth annually,” added Damon.
