ACROSS MISSISSIPPI — The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reports 19 new cases of H1N1 swine flu, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 77.
The new cases, recorded the week of June 8-14, were in Forrest (seven), Madison (four), Harrison (three), Greene (two), Jackson (one), Lamar (one) and Perry (one) counties.
Since MSDH began testing for H1N1 swine flu, cases have been reported in Harrison (21), Jackson (15), Forrest (10), Madison (five), Hinds (four), Lamar (four), Holmes (three), Jones (two), Lauderdale (two), Lowndes (two), Rankin (two), Yazoo (two), Greene (two), DeSoto (one), Perry (one) and Union (one) counties. County numbers may have slightly changed from previous weeks after case investigation and follow-up.
