CLEVELAND — The Bolivar County Board of Supervisors will allow the tax assessor/collector’s offices to accept credit and debit cards.
The approval comes as a part of an electronic initiative under consideration for all county departments that collect revenue.
Cash Flow Solutions LLC, which serves several other area counties, will provide the logistical services necessary to accept the cards from customers.
Plans include equipping three payments stations in Cleveland and one in Rosedale to take the cards. Cash Flow Solutions will set up two stations free-of-charge.
Tax Assessor/Collector Nancy Havens hopes to have the system up and running before property tax season in December and January.
