The (Gun) Show Goes On – Trademart Back in Business

Although the water crisis in Jackson still lingers, business is getting back to normal at the Mississippi Trademart

The Jackson Gun Show will occupy the building on Saturday and Sunday at its regularly scheduled hours.

Due to the lack of water at the Trademart, the Mississippi Business Journal’s annual EXPO, which was scheduled for Jan. 13 and 14, was postponed until April.

“We talked to the Trademart folks (Thursday) and they gave us approval to do the show,” said Beth Milstead, co-founder of the show along with husband Bill.  “Apparently, the water is back on in the building and we’ll have (restroom) facilities for people that attend the show.”

Milstead said she didn’t know if bottled water would be available for gun show patrons to purchase and instead referred a reporter to Trademart officials, who could not be reached for comment.
