Koestler named Alliance president

Stone County Economic Development Partnership executive director Charlotte Koestler has been elected president of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Alliance for Economic Development. Koestler holds a bachelor’s degree in general business from the University of Mississippi and is pursuing a doctoral degree in human working capital from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has served as vice president of marketing for Texas-based Numera Software and as director of the Vicksburg-Warren County Alliance. She also is a past vice president of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Alliance.

Sue Wright, economic development director for the Hancock County Development Commission and a past president of the Alliance, will serve as vice president. Wright previously served as executive director of the George County Economic Development Foundation and as economic director for the city of Gulfport. She holds two certifications — Certified Economic Developer and Economic Development Finance Professional.
