L-3 Vertex lands work for Navy

MADISON — L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace, LLC, is being awarded a $14-million ceiling-priced undefinitized contract action (UCA) to provide aircraft maintenance and logistics services in support of the Navy’s T-34 and T-44 aircraft.

Services to be provided include aircraft maintenance and logistics support, including labor, equipment, tools, and material.

Work will be performed at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Whiting Field, Fla. (50 percent) and NAS Corpus Christi, Texas (50 percent), and is expected to be completed in Nov. 2010. Contract funds in the amount of $6.86 million will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
