Labor orders ISMG to pay employee back wages

HANCOCK COUNTY — The U.S. Department of Labor says International Security Management Group will pay more than $282,000 in back wages to 46 security employees at the Stennis Space Center in Hancock County.

Labor Department officials say in a news release that the agreement was reached after an investigation showed the company had failed to pay employees the required prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for all hours worked.

ISMG, based in Atlanta, was awarded a contract in 2008 to provide armed security guards at the U.S. Government Printing Office at Stennis.

The Labor Department says several security guard trainees were under-compensated. It also says the company failed pay workers the health and welfare benefits, holiday pay and vacation pay required by the contract.

  1. I wish someone would come investigate the branch in new Orleans. These managers are conniving, liars and rude. They underpay their workers, no benefits and can’t keep a constant supervisor to save their lives. I’ve worked with the company for almost three years now and got a one dollar raise. I wish that they could send someone undercover to see this mess.
