Buchanan joins firm

Philip A. Buchanan has joined The Elder Law Firm as an elder care attorney. Buchanan is a Jackson metro native, and was a cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi where he earned a bachelor of business administration and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He received his juris doctor from Mississippi College where he also earned an MBA.

He is licensed to practice in all Mississippi courts, U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, and U. S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.

He is currently working on his legum magister in elder law from Stetson University College of Law, and upon completion, Buchanan will be one of only a few attorneys in the United States with this specialized degree.

He is married to Jennifer Waterbury, formally of Clinton, and they have one three-year-old son, Kade.
