Run domestic violence out of town — in a purple dress

JACKSON — Grab your running shoes and favorite purple “dress” and join the Domestic Violence Services Center of Catholic Charities Inc. and Jaco’s Tacos for a sunset 5K Purple Dress run/walk fundraiser through downtown Jackson.

The event will be held Oct. 25 with check-in beginning at 5 p.m. The run/walk will begin at 6 p.m. at Jaco’s Tacos located at 318 South State Street.

There will be a post-event celebration at Jaco’s Tacos. Prizes will be awarded for top male/female participants as well as best male/female costume.

Entry fees are $30 for individual runners and $100 for a team of four. The fees include a race day t-shirt and one after-race house beverage at Jaco’s Tacos.
