HAZLEHURST — A Hazlehurt man has been sentenced to serve 15 years in prison for selling pirated DVDs and CDs.
Attorney General Jim Hood says 37-year-old Patrick Lashun King was sentenced to 18 years with three years suspended last week.
Hood says King pleaded guilty to six counts of selling pirated DVDs and CDs before Copiah County Circuit Judge Lamar Pickard.
Hood says investigators seized 10,510 pirated discs along with computer equipment used for making the copies at King’s home and business.
Hood says King was arrested after selling pirated copies of five movies and one music CD to an undercover investigator.
