JACKSON — The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) has launched the Mississippi Minority Business Registry, a resource for businesses and public entities looking for prospective suppliers or contractors that can meet their procurement needs.
The new registry can be accessed online at www.mmbr.org.
A component of MDA’s Diversity in Contracting initiative, which focuses on increasing minority- and women-owned business participation in private and public contracting opportunities, the registry provides businesses and government agencies with greater access to the minority- and women-owned businesses in the state that offer the products and services they require.
Businesses do not have to be certified by MDA as a minority business enterprise or a women-owned business enterprise to be included in the registry.
