VICKSBURG — Warren County will hold a public hearing on Jan. 22 on proposed changes to the county’s ordinance on subdivision development.
The Vicksburg Post reports versions of a revised ordinance have discussed by the board of supervisors for months.
The county is considering a prohibition on the sale of residential lots until roads are dedicated for county maintenance.
The proposed change also would specify that developers contact county engineers before work is begun on roads that tie subdivisions together.
Adopted in 2004, current regulations call for road and drainage drawings to be presented to the county so roads can be maintained by the Warren County Road Department.
