Crossgates River Oaks Hospital has a new — but familiar — chief executive officer.

Glen Silverman has accepted the role of CEO of the hospital in Brandon after having served in the same capacity at Madison River Oaks Medical Center in Madison, a position he had held since 2010.

Silverman has been with Health Management Associates since 1998, serving at several hospitals including Central Mississippi Medical Center (CMMC) in Jackson.

“I am very excited to be joining the team at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital”, said Silverman.  “Crossgates has a long tradition of high quality care and service. It’s an outstanding hospital and I look forward to working alongside all the physicians and associates who provide such great care.”

In addition to serving as CEO of Madison River Oaks, Silverman has served as assistant controller at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Ala., and as CFO at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet, N.C., Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, N.C., and at CMMC, where he also served as CEO for two years. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
