GodwinGroup hosting 50 top advertising executives

Godwin GroupJACKSON, Mississippi — Beginning today, the Jackson-based advertising agency GodwinGroup is hosting 50 top advertising executives from the United States and Europe. The attendees are part of MAGNET, the Marketing & Advertising Global Network, an affiliation of independent advertising and marketing agencies that represent a combined $4 billion annually in billings. The conference concludes Saturday.

“GodwinGroup is proud to bring some of the most creative, outstanding advertising minds to Jackson and show them what Southern hospitality is all about,” said Philip Shirley, Godwin’s chairman and CEO. “These meetings are attended only by MAGNET members as we spend two days sharing best practices and professional development. “Our members are excited about coming to Jackson and we have had a great response.”

The conference begins this evening with a reception at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Gov. Phil Bryant greets the group Friday morning.

GodwinGroup, founded in 1937, is headquartered in Jackson, with offices in Gulfport. It serves clients nationwide, primarily in healthcare, banking, finance, utilities, tourism, manufacturing, food and consumer goods.
