The winter of 2014 has been a hard, cold one so far, and more winter weather is forecast for areas of Central Mississippi.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for areas in Central Mississippi along and to the north of Interstate 20 for tonight and into tomorrow. Communities in those areas could see up to a half-inch of sleet and freezing rain and an inch of snow.
Counties just to the north and south of that area are under a winter weather advisory. The south and central Delta could see .20 inches of sleet/freezing rain and up to an inch of snow while counties to the south are forecast to see up to .20 inches of freezing rain.
