Musicians 'Band Together' for tornado relief

tornadoAs residents of Tupelo rebuild their lives following the tornado that devastated the city, they will be offered a little music to brighten their day.

A group of citizens has banded together to host a benefit concert for the Northeast Mississippi tornado relief efforts. The “Band Together” benefit concert will be held June 5 at Fairpark in Downtown Tupelo. Gates will open at 5 p.m., and the concert will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The line-up for the Band Together benefit concert includes: Paul Thorn; Aaron Hall with Chris Chew of North Mississippi Allstars and Keith Sanders from American Idol; Jimbo Mathis & Them Dirty Crooks; Cary Hudson; The Red Thangs; and special guests.

The ticket price is “whatever you can give.” Cash donations will be collected at the gate, or you can donate online through the official website and bring your receipt as your ticket. All proceeds will go through CREATE and towards the Northeast Mississippi Tornado Relief Fund.
