LeAnn Alexander of Starkville has been named director of campus recreation at Mississippi University for Women. As director of campus recreation, Alexander will oversee the Stark Recreation Center/Pohl Academic Building as well as be responsible for campus recreation event planning, facilities management, intramural sports and maintaining an emergency action plan for the recreation center. Since April, she has served as the interim director of campus recreation. Previously, she served as assistant director of campus recreation since July 2013.
Alexander graduated with a master of science degree from Mississippi State University in counselor education with an emphasis in student affairs in 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in family studies from The W in 2011.
