D’IBERVILLE — D’Iberville officials have tabled a development agreement with RAMCO Real Estate to buy the site that was to become Ocean Expo.
Councilman Henry Toncrey said Wednesday after an executive session he wants more time to study the proposal.
In 2011, the city bought the land at the southwest quadrant of interstates 10 and 110 for the Ocean Expo aquarium. The city then bought two adjacent sites, but the Ocean Expo contract expired without an aquarium being built.
City Manager Bobby Eleuterius tells The Sun Herald RAMCO wants to buy the three properties, but the city also has another developer interested and an auctioneer who proposes selling the land.
