Selena Swartzfager, president of the Mississippi Council on Economic Education, was recently elected treasurer and council representative on the executive committee of the National Association of Economic Educators. The mission of NAEE is to be the premier professional organization advancing the growth, service and recognition of economic educators as they expand economic and financial literacy. The association provides opportunities for the professional growth and recognition of its members through conferences, publications, and awards. The Association articulates concerns, needs, and long-term goals in the field; forges new and needed initiatives; and represents the profession to its various audiences.
Swartzfager’s term is three years. She has worked with the MCEE since August of 2010.
