Rod L. Hill is SBA’s Graduate of the Year

Rod L. Hill, P.E., co-founder of Integrated Management Services, has been named the 8(a) Graduate of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. He has received this distinction for both the state of Mississippi and the SBA Southeastern Region, which is composed of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The 8(a) Graduate of the Year award is presented each year to an outstanding business that has graduated from the SBA’s 8(a) business development program for government contracting.

Founded in 1996, IMS is a full-service consulting firm offering clients technical and management solutions, with an emphasis on engineering services. IMS entered the SBA 8(a) Program in 1998 and graduated in 2007. IMS has grown since its inception under Hill’s leadership.

Hill and co-founder Dr. John Calhoun have made it a priority to assist other 8(a) participants and support small-disadvantaged and women-owned firms through teaming partnerships and promoting collaboration. The awards will be presented at the 2015 Small Business Week Luncheon hosted by the SBA Mississippi District on May 5.
