Jim Miller has joined the Career Services office at Mississippi College in Clinton.
Miller, 29, and his co-workers help students enhance their resumes, improve interview skills, get connected with employers, build confidence levels and much more. Planning the university’s Career Day in February is always a big item on their to-do list.
Miller had worked since September 2013 as an assistant to the dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mississippi College. He also served as an administrative assistant with the university’s English Department.
Miller earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi in December 2009. He expects to complete his master’s in higher education administration at Mississippi College in the fall of 2016.
The Tupelo native is a former insurance broker with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, Miller earlier worked as an historic interpreter for a museum in Charleston, S.C.
Jim, his wife, Allison, and their son, Henry, are Madison residents. and members of Broadmoor Baptist Church. In his spare time, Jim enjoys hunting in the back woods of the Magnolia State.
