Walter H. Boone has joined Balch & Bingham LLP’s Jackson office as a partner and member of the Product Liability & Casualty Litigation Practice Group. Boone has more than 25 years of general, commercial and environmental litigation experience.

Boone’s litigation experience focuses on the defense of personal injury and wrongful death claims based on products liability, premises liability and general negligence theories. He has represented a variety of product manufacturers including industrial, construction and utility equipment, oil field products and equipment, transportation equipment, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods.

In the commercial litigation arena, he has represented commercial, insurance and financial institutions, including insurance coverage, defense and bad faith, real estate disputes and litigation, contract disputes, claims by and against financial institutions, professional liability claims, shareholder and corporate governance disputes and purchase and sale agreement disputes.

Boone earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1990. He received his B.A. from Georgetown University in 1987. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the chair of the International Association of Defense Counselor’s Energy and Environmental Law Committee, and a member of the Mississippi Center for Justice’s board of directors
