Biloxi City Council calls meetings about infrastructure work

BILOXI — The Biloxi City Council will meet twice Tuesday.

On the agenda for the 4:30 p.m. workshop are HNTB, the company hired to oversee the $365 million infrastructure project, and Oscar Renda, the company doing the work north of the tracks in East Biloxi.

The Sun Herald reports the council also will discuss the South Contract, for which bids have been opened but not yet awarded for work south of the railroad tracks in East Biloxi.

On the agenda at the 6 p.m. regular meeting is the first reading of an ordinance that would create an overlay district in East Biloxi to allow short-term rentals.
