The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District recently announced the selection of Philip Hite as chief of the budget, manpower, and management branch of the Resource Management Office.
Hite will be responsible for preparing, coordinating and developing budgetary data used in financial schedule estimates for the District’s current year and budget year civil works programs. In addition, he will advise all levels of District management on developing and implementing local procedures and formulating the operating budget.
Previously, Hite served as a budget analyst in the budget branch of the Resource Management Office. He was responsible for performing administrative and analytical analyses in the formulation and execution of the District’s operating budget.
He is a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers.
A Vicksburg native, he earned his Bachelors of Accountancy from Mississippi State University and his Masters of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi.
