Cereal maker establishes distribution center in Byhalia

Cereal maker Post Consumer Brands has opened 545,000-square-foot distribution center in By-halia and will create at  least 32 jobs., according to a news release.

The facility is in the Gateway Global Logistics Center in the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park.
Mississippi Development Authority provided guidance on ad valorem tax abatements for the pro-ject. Marshall County waived ad valorem taxes for up to 10 years, as well as granting a freeport warehouse exemption for finished goods leaving the state.
 St. Louis-based Post was founded in 1895 and produces a number of cereals, including Post 
Grape-Nuts, Honey Bunches of Oats, Pebbles and Great Grains.
