Hol-Mac Corp., manufacturer of Pac-Mac Refuse, septic and oil field equipment, Hammerhead Off-Road Armor and hydraulic cylinders, is creating 40 jobs and investing $5 million by expanding its operations in Bay Springs.
Hol-Mac’s latest expansion is the result of the company acquiring Quality Corp., a Colorado-based manufacturer of specialty truck carried forklifts. The acquisition will also bring new business to Hol-Mac’s hydraulic cylinder plant, which will be a supplier for the forklifts.
Hol-Mac President and Chief Operating Officer Jamie Holder said in a release. “We want to thank Mississippi Development Authority, Jasper County and the city of Bay Springs for their support in this project.”
MDA provided a $250,000 grant, $50,000 of which is for work-force training. The rest is for equipment relocation.
The city and the county are providing ad valorem tax exemptions for 10 years. Additionally, a loan in the amount of approximately $500,000 will be made to the company through the county’s economic development arm.
