Renasant income up 42.9 percent for third quarter

Tupelo-based Renasant Corp. announced net income for the third quarter of 2016 was $23.2 million, or earnings per share of 55 cents, an increase of 42.9 percent from $16.2 million, or 40 cents, a year earlier.

The bank said on Thursday that its balance sheet and results of operations include the impact of the its acquisition of KeyWorth Bank a Georgia state bank.

KeyWorth had approximately $399 million in assets, approximately $284 million in loans, and approximately $347 million in deposits.

Total assets for Renasant as of Sept. 30 were approximately $8.54 billion, compared with $7.93 billion as of Dec. 31, 2015.
