Gov. Bryant Appoints Kilgore District Attorney for Eighth Judicial District

Gov. Phil Bryant has appointed Steven S. Kilgore district attorney for the Eighth Judicial District. Kilgore replaces Mark Duncan, who Bryant recently appointed circuit judge for the Eighth District, which encompasses Leake, Neshoba, Newton and Scott counties.

Kilgore has served as an assistant district attorney in the Eighth District since July 2007. Prior to that, he spent one year in private practice. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi.

Kilgore and his wife, Marjorie, live in Philadelphia. They have one daughter and are expecting another child soon.
