Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush, P.A., announced that attorney Weathers Virden has joined the law firm’s Ridgeland office.
After graduating cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2016, the Mississippi Delta native returned to Greenville where he gained experience in insurance defense, transportation, and other legal areas while practicing law at one of the state’s oldest firms.
In law school, as an intern with the Office of District Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District of Mississippi, Weathers spent time in the courtroom, researched legal issues, and conducted factual investigations. He achieved the highest scoring grade in a Federal Rules of Evidence course and earned an outstanding student award.
Prior to law school, Weathers graduated with a BA in political science from the Mississippi State University Department of Political Science and Public Administration in 2013.
He joins the firm as an associate in the CCTB Insurance & Risk Management Services and Transportation practice groups.
