D. Dodd Williams, CFA, has joined Smith Shellnut Wilson Investment Counsel and Management in Madison as a senior vice president.

Williams has over 27 years of experience in money management and investment portfolio strategy. He has spent the last 21 years working for investment banks, specializing in institutional fixed income portfolio management. He was previously a portfolio manager for Delta Life and Annuity Company in Memphis and also worked as an analyst with Loomis, Sayles & Company in Memphis and Washington, D.C.

He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1997 and is a current member of the CFA Society of Mississippi. He graduated from Millsaps College with a BBA in Accounting in 1990.
