Mississippi’s Grenada Railroad now owned by Florida company

A Mississippi railroad is changing hands. International Rail Partners said Tuesday that it bought rights to the Grenada Railroad from Iowa Pacific Holdings last week. GRENADA — An Illinois company will invest $350,000 to expand its Grenada factory, adding 60 jobs. Suburban Plastics, based in Elgin, Illinois, announced last week it would expand its current factory by 25,000 square feet to increase production.
