Coastal Cleanup nets 7.5 tons of marine litter

MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST — The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources reports that more than 1,260 volunteers took part in a cleanup effort on Mississippi’s beaches and waterways. Saturday’s cleanup took place at 49 designated sites during the 25th annual Mississippi Coastal Cleanup. BILOXI — The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources has hired two new executives. Director Jamie Miller says in a news release today that 42-year-old Bill Feidt, of Pascagoula, will become chief financial officer, and 60-year-old Brig. Gen.
