Mayor indicted on federal bribery charge

VICKSBURG —Mayor Paul Winfield has been indicted on a federal bribery charge. Federal court records show that Winfield was indicted Tuesday. He had already been charged in a criminal complaint in the case. The FBI arrested Winfield on Feb. 20. Moody's downgrades city's bond rating

NATCHEZ — The City of Natchez has received a slight downgrade to its bond rating. The Natchez Democrat reports the Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the city’s general obligation bond rating from A1 to A2.
