Stion completes direct utility solar installation

Stion, a Hattiesburg-based solar panel production facility, recently completed three solar projects for Entergy Mississippi. The projects, located in Brookhaven and Hinds and DeSoto counties, collectively will provide enough energy to power 178 homes annually. Entergy plans three solar-power pilot projects

The Mississippi Public Service Commission has approved three solar power projects to be constructed by Entergy. The pilot projects, the first to be sponsored by a utility, will be built in Senatobia, Jackson and Brookhaven, Northern District Commissioner Brandon Presley said in a news release.
